   About Us

Ark Development is an application development and web design company that has provided services for SMEs and non-profit organizations since 2007.  Originally founded to give talented and dedicated developers in the Middle East region a stake in the global information economy,  Ark Development has recently become the development arm for several software companies serving the non-profit and association sectors.

Ark Development specializes in helping clients link their business needs with technological solutions.  Our skill set includes extensive experience in the development of new businesses and the utilization and combination of new technologies.  Our team is trained to work with a wide range of technologies that covers JAVA and Microsoft products;  including classic ASP,  VB,  .NET,  SQL Server,  etc.  We have designed and built complex database applications,  custom content management systems,  and add-on modules for large Customer Relationship Management software suites.  Ark Development is currently focusing on expanding its LAMP and open source practices.

Ark Development understands how to help our clients to effectively conduct business on the Internet.  We uniquely meld high-touch project management and high-level business knowledge with expert development assets,  working closely with our clients to create affordable solutions.  We are able to consistently surpass our clients' expectations via clear communication,  fast development,  and clean and effective code.  We stake our reputation on our ability to provide the highest levels of customer service and support.

Many of Ark Development’s clients are software companies or consultants.  Ark Development does the “heavy lifting” of application development for these companies.  For example:

(C)Systems is a leading provider of software and services to the non-profit and association market in the New York area and around the United States.  Ark Development carried out all of (C)Systems major coding work.  This included developing a program administration application for the American Management Association;  the development of a room and resource management application for Asphalt Green; and developing custom modules that link several organizations to the iMIS database.

In 2008,  the Egyptian Government – through the Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC) – sponsored Ark Development’s participation in a Software Process Improvement Project.  Ark Development’s highly rated performance in the project earned the company the opportunity to work towards gaining CMMI international certification.  Under SECC supervision Ark Development is aiming to achieve this in the last quarter of 2009.
