Each role bears several parameters, including:

• The Objective: Quite simply, what you will achieve when performing this role successfully.
• A Manager: The individual responsible for developing and updating stated roles and objectives.
• Current Status: "Standardized", "In Process (of being standardized)" or "Not Standardized".
• Approved Employee(s): A list of employees assigned to perform this role.

Roles are a cornerstone of TAQAT. They comprise the framework for developing your company’s knowledgebase. As the knowledge base grows, department roles become easily digested and learned by your junior staff and your future employees. TAQAT provides you with a powerful collaboration and project management module that has been designed to get everyone involved in implementing your organization’s strategic plan. Your staff will be able to create projects, define their success criteria and create task lists. Tasks are assigned to responsible staff and show budgeted and actual costs, due dates and hours to completion. Each project is associated with a collaboration framework that ensures that you have an efficient, effective and documented way for staff to participate in the project. This includes:

Project Issues: Similar to communication logs, but dedicated to the project. This gives every team member an equal voice and an equal opportunity to contribute their ideas for resolving the issue, while keeping all project members informed.

Forums: TAQAT’s forums come pre-populated with a list of user-defined discussion topics. The idea is to create a list of standard topics that are designed to guide your project team to think through all the issues required to create and implement a successful project.

Documents repository: Allowing the team to upload, attach and manage an unlimited number of files, spreadsheets, images and documents associated with the project.

Notes: Which function as an internal, private e-mail system between project members.

Once a project is completed, a special “closing” forum is created where team participants can comment on what went right and what went wrong during the project’s implementation process. The system is also accompanied by indexing features to make documents easily searchable through TAQAT’s sophisticated search engine. There is also a built in tag cloud feature, which allows you to assign greater weights to important, active articles.

Each knowledge base article has a built-in discussion forum. This allows users to share ideas for improving the article without changing the initial document.

 

 

 

 

To ensure objectivity, TAQAT provides a two-way assessment process. Each employee can assess him or herself alongside his or her department manager’s assessment. This enables you to compare between assessments easily and from a single location.

Assessments are based on your defined company and department “values”. These values represent the shared ideals and ethics that unite your team through a common purpose. Each department manager can add values that are important to his own department alongside the company’s strategic values. Having clear, defined values for all department employees ensures a level playing field.

Beside employees’ assessment, each department manager must provide reports for his own department. This covers benchmarks (key performance indicators like sales, gross profit, and number of new customers) and core-competencies(capabilities and areas of expertise that are critical to his departments’ continued success). Benchmarks and core-competencies are created and configured during the department setup.

 

 

 

 

 

TAQAT provides you with an easy to use employee profiling system, through which each employee can define his own strategic objectives. Strategic objectives for employees are expressed in a documented self development plan. Each department manager can change/review these plans with his or her staff.

The profiling system allows employees to also place their current capabilities and their CV. It is accompanied by an online search engine that allows managers to easily locate an employee with a specific skill, if someone is being sought for a specific project or task.

The employee profile page gathers everything related to your employees’ skills and experience in a single place. In addition to strategic objectives and capabilities, it provides you with all knowledge base articles posted by him or her, all projects, logs and tasks he or she is involved in. You can easily know everything about a specific employee by just looking at his or her profile page!
